Top Outdoor Activities For 2022
1. Gun Shooting
It’s tough to beat the sport of skeet shooting during a beautiful summer day. Skeet shooting is my favorite recreational sport because you use a shotgun to shoot clay targets that are shot up into the air from various stations. My biggest advice is to go to your closest skeet shooting range and learn how the sport is played. The rules will make a lot more sense and they will even walk you through some safety tips while handling a shotgun.

2. Jogging
It may take some time for jogging to transition from uncomfortable to exciting, but before you know it, you’ll be experiencing the famed “runner’s high.” If you’re a novice, you may discover free “couch to 5km” training programmes online.
Signing up for special activities for which you must train might help you stay motivated to workout since you will still enjoy becoming sweaty and out of breath. (Don’t worry, it won’t last forever!)

3. Hiking
Although many people wouldn’t consider it a sport, hiking is my all time favorite outdoor activity. There’s nothing more refreshing or satisfying than burning calories in a pure, outdoor setting. It naturally boosts serotonin levels and reduces stress.
My main tip for hikers out there is to download a trail map (like AllTrails or Cairn), hydrate before/during your hike and bring a thorough first aid kit with you.

4. Baseball
My favorite outdoor sport will always be baseball. There is just something about hitting home runs and running to base I have always enjoyed as well as the spirit of competition involved. I will never forget cheering for my favorite players to get on home base.

5. Cycling
I like cycling because you can go alone or with friends and family. It allows you to have fun and work out at the same time. Someone can enjoy cycling to work or when doing errands around the estate. Because cycling involves a workout, it is good for cardiovascular fitness. The best thing is that you can decide whether to do it at a fast pace or slow pace.

6. Grass Volleyball
I love grass volleyball! I have a portable net that I can set up in my backyard or any park I go to. Whenever I host parties or outdoor get-togethers at my house, I always have my net up. It’s fun to be competitive with it but it’s also just as fun to mess around and play less seriously.

7. Mountain Biking
My favorite outdoor sport is mountain biking and I like it the most because it’s a great workout and it’s a lot of fun.
Mountain biking is a great sport because it’s a workout, fun, and a great way to explore the outdoors. When mountain biking, you need to be aware of your surroundings and be prepared for anything. You need to have good riding skills and know how to handle your bike in different situations.
One of the best things about mountain biking is that you can go pretty much anywhere. There are trails for all levels of riders, from beginners to experts. If you’re new to mountain biking, I recommend starting on easier trails and working your way up to more difficult ones.
Be sure to wear the right gear when mountain biking. You’ll need a good helmet, sunglasses, sunscreen, and comfortable clothing. Also, always make sure your bike is in good working condition before going out on a ride.

The most common mistake I’ve seen aspiring mountain bikers make is wanting to go from sleeping on their couch to riding intensely down a steep mountain right away. I’m sorry to say that this is extremely unlikely. When you first begin mountain riding, it is critical that you first develop a tolerance for the effort that mountain biking necessitates. This entails establishing a basic level of endurance and fitness. Such a level will assist the body in becoming more acclimatised to the rigours of the sport. In addition to being prepared before mountain biking, one must also know how to recover effectively after mountain biking. This includes your physical activities as well as what you eat. It is vital to warm down and relax your muscles after any strenuous workout. It’s no different with mountain biking. Another piece of unconventional advice I could give an aspiring mountain biker is to bike in short bursts. Something like a 20-minute ride, followed by a 5-minute rest period. Consider even taking a few days off from mountain biking.

8. Hiking
Hiking is a wonderful outdoor activity that never gets boring because you can explore a vast amount of scenic trails.
If you’re new to hiking, start off with easy trails. It might be tempting to jump right into difficult strenuous hikes but you may find you’ll be very sore the next day if you end up doing this. Once you get used to easier trails you can work your way up to more difficult ones.
My dog is one of my favorite hiking companions and she loves going for long hikes with me. If you plan on bringing your dog, be sure to check the trail ahead of time to make sure they are dog-friendly.
