Wildcrafted Irish Sea Moss is a natural superfood high in potassium chloride, a vital ingredient that aids in the dissolution of catarrhs and other gastrointestinal problems (inflammation and phlegm in the mucous membranes). Irish Sea Moss also includes chemicals that function as natural antibacterial and antiviral agents, which can help enhance immunity and clear infections when used as a supplement.
Sea moss can vary in colour and texture because this is a sea vegetable that has been harvested from the water. Consider the possibility that some salt crystals may be left behind even after a short washing of the ocean water. This is very normal. Take it easy if the soaking time is longer than you expected. A hot water soak may be a simple way to get a quick soak. However, this is not unheard of: Sea Moss may remain soaked for up to 36 hours.
Throughout my childhood and into adulthood, as a first-generation American, I was lucky in that I was able to consume all of the wild-harvested Caribbean fruits, veggies, herbs, and spices that were available to me.
Multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and thyroid difficulties are conditions I have personally experienced relief from using our wildcrafted sea moss. Sea moss, plant-based medicines, and a clean diet have helped me manage various health concerns organically and successfully.
About Wildcrafted Irish Sea Moss
Potassium chloride, an essential component, is found in wildcrafted Irish Sea Moss, a natural superfood that dissolves. Antimicrobial and antiviral components found in wildcrafted Irish Sea Moss improve the immune system and eliminate illnesses.
Key Characteristics of Authentic Wildcrafted Sea Moss:
1.) Rocky Beginnings: Do not be startled if you discover traces of bedrock at the base of our sea moss. This is rather common, as sea moss grows on ocean rocks. Please ensure that the sea moss is well cleaned to eliminate any rocky coral. When feasible, we have requested our processor to preserve the rocks intact.
2.) Appearance: You may note that some sections of our sea moss resemble knobs. Sea moss is a natural food source for fish and numerous invertebrates. As a result of the fish and crustaceans “nibbling” on the sea moss, the “branches” of the sea moss develop a knob-like look.
3.) Moisture Content (water retention): On average, our sea moss contains between 10% and 35% moisture. The longer sea moss is exposed to the sun, the lower its moisture content. Please keep in mind that sea moss from St. Lucia often has little to no moisture owing to the length of time the sea moss is dried.
4.) Sun-Dried: Our sea moss is sun-dried on white-sand beaches. As a result, it may contain sand or seashell fragments. As previously indicated, properly wash your sea moss to eliminate any sediments. When sea moss is extracted from the water, a net holding the sea moss is spread over sandy beaches to dry properly. Sand may gather on the sea moss at this stage of the natural process, and some sand may remain after drying.
